1 killed, another injured as motorcycle crashes into tricycle in Ilagan, Isabela

Ilagan City, Isabela – The latest road fatality in Ilagan, Isabela involves a motorcycle and tricycle collision.

The casualty is identified as Arman Aggarao, 29, a resident of Barangay Alibagu, Ilagan.

A local media outlet narrated that Aggarao was riding his Honda Click motorcycle on Sunday, December 17, 2023, when he met the tragic accident.

While traversing the road, particularly in Barangay Baligatan, Aggarao’s motorcycle allegedly hit a tricycle he was following when he tried to overtake it.

The tricycle driver, identified as Gilbert Lumilan, told police that he was about to enter the road heading to the barangay hall in the area when a motorcycle suddenly hit his vehicle.

The two drivers were thrown off their motorcycles and sustained severe injuries.

The responding authorities rushed the two to a hospital in the city. Unfortunately, Aggarao was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician, while Lumilan survived the accident and is now in stable condition.

Police investigation disclosed that human error appears to be the cause of the accident.
