102 PWDs in Magsaysay, Tabuk City receive Christmas gifts

Magsaysay, Tabuk City – As their own means of extending the Christmas spirit, the officialdom of Magsaysay in Tabuk City led by Punong Barangay Enrique Sagayo gave gifts on Thursday, Dec. 22, to 102 individuals who have long-term physical, mental, intellectual or sensory impairments.

The gifts may be considered simple and small but were given from the officials’ hearts, said the village chief.

All 102 Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) received hygiene kits worth P500 each, and 32 of those who are bedridden were provided an additional P1,000 cash gift each.

“Kadagiti amin nga PWDs nga nakaawat kadagiti bassit nga regalo wenno hygiene kit, kasta met kadagiay nakaawat iti cash gift, ammok nga bassit lang dagita ngem dayta iti mabalin nga maipaay iti barangay ken panangiparikna mi iti Espiritu iti Paskua kadakayo ket manipud iti kabuklan iti brangay council ken iti pamilyak, iyabrasa mi ngarud kadakayo ken kadagiti amin nga kabarangayan iti NARAGSAK NGA PASKUA KEN NAPARABUR A SUMANGBAY NGA BARO NGA TAWEN YU AMIN! MAY GOD BLESS US ALL, TO GOD BE THE GLORY,” stated Sagayo.

According to Sagayo, the barangay officials have been giving gifts to the said sector annually to somehow help offset their expenses.

Further, barangay employees including Tanods, Lupons, Barangay Health Workers (BHW), Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), and Day Care Teachers and Midwives also received their gifts.
