14 and 60-year old riders in Isabela die in road accident

Isabela, Philippines – Two motorcycle riders died in a road collision accident between a motorcycle and a ‘kulong-kulong’ in Gamu, Isabela on August 23, 2022.

Gamu Police Station, as reported by Bombo Radyo Cauayan, said that the two vehicles were moving from opposite directions on Barangay Pintor’s road in the said municipality when the incident happened.

The report narrated that the black Rusi 125 single motorcycle driven by a 14-year-old student who was a resident of Purok 7, Mabini, Gamu, Isabela, was moving fast and suddenly encroached the line of the Honda TMX with “kulong-kulong.” The sudden encroachment resulted in the crash that later cause the death of the riders.

The strong impact of the collision left the two riders with severe injuries on various parts of their bodies.

Police identified the rider of the Honda TMX with “kulong-kulong” as Celso Uy, 60, married, a farmer, and a resident of Pintor in the same municipality.

The victims were immediately taken to a hospital by the Dart Rescue team, but Uy was declared dead on arrival. Meantime, the student was still breathing when he was at the hospital but succumbed to his injuries later.

Last July 2, 2022, it can be recalled that another motorcycle collision happened in the same municipality that caused injuries to two young men.
