18 Tabuk schools seek renaming, integration, separation of school annex

Updated: Mar 9, 2021

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Aiming to enhance the delivery of basic education in town, the Schools Division Office-Tabuk City through the City School Board sought for the SangguniangPanlungsod to pass a resolution to support the renaming, integration, and separation of School Annex,of at least 18 schools in the city.

Committee on Education Chairman Councilor Eduardo Sacayle in a committee report recommended for the august body to pass a resolution supporting the Tabuk City School Board Resolution No. 1 Series of 2021.

Based on the list, 13 schools are being proposed to be renamed, four schools for integration, and one for separation of school annex.

Said request, he underscored, is vital to upgrade and establish as independent institutions.

He cited that the Local Government Code of 1991 provides that the Local School Board shall recommend changes in the name of Public Schools within the Territorial Jurisdiction of the Local Government Unit, before it is recognized as an independent public education institution, thus the move requires the passage of a resolution supporting the establishment and naming of a certain school.

During the regular session held today March 8, 2021, the SangguniangPanlungsod members approved the committee report of the Tabuk City School Board Resolution for second reading.

Here are the list of schools to be renamed, for integration, and separation of school annex:
