19-yr.-old dies after road accident in Tabuk City

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Despite the efforts to revive him, a young man involved in a road accident in Bulanao succumbed to his injuries few hours after the incident.

At around 1:20 a.m. this Thursday, November 21, the Bureau of Fire Protection Kalinga responded to a vehicular accident along the national highway in Purok 6, Bulanao and rushed two riders – a 22-year-old and a 19-year-old – to the Kalinga Provincial Hospital.

Based on the investigation of the Tabuk City Police Station, the two young men were onboard an XRM 125 with the 22-year-old as the rider while the 19 was the back rider.

The two, both residents of New Tanglag, came from the Callagdao direction and were heading towards the rotunda when their vehicle crashed against the center isle just in front of Kalinga State University, Bulanao Campus.

Based on the investigation, the rider lost control of the motorcycle following the impact, causing the vehicle to skid at least 10 meters away from the crash point.

This resulted into serious injuries to the back rider who was unconscious when the BFP personnel rushed him and his companion to the hospital.

According to the police, doctors tried to revive the 19-year-old, but he later passed away. The 22-year-old rider, meantime, was conscious and was treated at the hospital.
