19-yr.-old rider dies in Tuao, Cagayan after his motorcycle crashed against concrete barrier

Tuao, Cagayan - A rider died while his pillion passenger was severely injured after their motorcycle crashed into a concrete barrier along the road in Barangay Barancuag, Tuao, Cagayan on Sunday, September 1.

 

The victims, identified as Mark Carlo Inovena, 19, and Ronald Pamittan, 20, are residents of Barangay Bagumbayan, Tuao.

 

Both Inovena and Pamittan were under the influence of alcohol and were not wearing helmets when the incident occurred.

 

In his interview with the media, Police Major JhunJhunBalisi, chief of PNP-Tuao, relayed that the victims were on their way home when Inovena lost control of the motorcycle at the curved portion of said road, causing the vehicle to hit the concrete barrier.

 

Due to the force of impact, the two were thrown off their vehicle and landed in a rice field, resulting in severe injuries.

 

The responding medical team rushed them to a hospital nearby.

 

Unfortunately, Inovena was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician, while Pamittan suffered from a hand fracture and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital.
