19-yr.-old student hangs self to death after drinking spree in Burgos, Isabela

Burgos, Isabela - On Thursday, January 18, 2024, a 19-year-old student took his own life by hanging from a terrace in Burgos, Isabela.

The deceased was identified as alias "Alex," a resident of Barangay Masigun, Burgos.

Police investigations revealed that before the incident, Alex and his friend had a drinking spree in the said barangay from around 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17, until 3:00 a.m. on January 18.

After finishing their drinks, Alex left the place and told his drinking buddy, "Maudi atoy nga panagkita tan."

His body was later found hanging on a terrace by his uncle, who immediately sought help from their neighbors.

He was rushed to a hospital in the municipality by the responding authorities, but he was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

A crime scene investigation was conducted, and it appears that there are no suspicions about his death. His family is also convinced that there is no foul play in the incident.
