2,753 iLubuagans benefit from ‘Serbisyo Caravan’

Lubuagan, Kalinga― The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Lubuagan held a 3-day “ELCAC: Serbisyo Caravan para kadagiti Kakailyan” in three barangays of the municipality benefiting 2,753 residents.


“These barangays are validated by the intelligence community as influenced barangay by the leftist CPP/NPA,” according to Officer-in-Charge Chief of Police Lieutenant Constancio Rosito.


The Municipal LGU, 50th Infantry Battalion, the Philippine National Police (PNP), together with the Barangay Council, and other national line agencies reached out to Barangay Western Uma on June 22, Lower Uma on June 23, and Upper Uma on June 24.

Through the ‘Serbisyo Caravan’ activity, residents enjoyed free services such as ‘libreng pukis’, ‘libreng kugit’ and one-stop-shop free services from the different government agencies and other various social services needed by the constituents of the barangays.


Meanwhile, Western Uma Punong Barangay Bondad Salicanto expressed his appreciation for the concerted effort of the government agencies in responding to the requests of the constituents to boost the anti-insurgency campaign in their barangay.


“Dakkel met nga salamat tayo kadagiti gobyerno ta talaga nga isangpet da ti programa da nga usto isunga dagitoy NPA nu adda kayo man nga agdingdinggeg, sapay kuma nga bay-an yu dakami nga Western Uma ta i-focus mi ti gobyerno tapno rumang ay ti ili,” he said.


Salicanto assured his commitment together with the residents on their support and cooperation in fighting and ending local communist armed conflict.


“Tatta, hundred percent kami nga Western Uma iti gobyerno ta adda ti programa iti ELCAC nga programa iti military ken pulis nga insangpet da tatta. Haan tayo kuma agbuteng kanyada (leftist) tapno haan da nga (leftist) nga umay. Isunga agpakpakaasi ak (kanyayo nga makipagmaymaysa ti gobyerno) tapno pumaspas ti rang-ay ti barangay tayo,” he added.
