2 carnappers from Tabuk City arrested after stealing motorcycle in Tuguegarao

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Police officers in Tabuk City tracked two suspected ‘carnappers’ in the city after they were seen on camera stealing a motorcycle in Tuguegarao on Saturday, October 26.

 

The two accused were tagged to be behind the disappearance of a motorcycle parked by its owner outside his house. The two were caught by a CCTV taking the motorcycle and placing it in their getaway vehicle.

 

Other CCTV footage pointed that the suspects had gone towards Tabuk City, leading operatives to contact the Tabuk City Police Station who immediately deployed its personnel to join the hot pursuit operation.

 

According to the Tabuk City police, the operatives managed to track the alleged stolen vehicle described as a Mio Aerox around 8:30 p.m. on October 26 on Arellano Street in Barangay Dagupan Weste. The getaway vehicle which was a Toyota Hi-Ace Grandia was also recovered on Bonifacio Street in the same barangay.

 

The police were able to arrest the suspects who they identified to be a 25-year-old driver from Pasil and a 22-year-old from Pinukpuk.

 

Recovered items were inventoried before they were turned over to the Tuguegarao City Police Station along with the two suspects for proper disposition and filing of charges.
