2 CTG members wanted for murder, other crimes fall to authorities in Tabuk City

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Two members of a Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) were arrested by authorities on Thursday, May 2, in Purok 6, Bulanao, Tabuk City.

 

The two – a 29-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man, were arrested for various crimes they committed as evident in the cases filed against them.

 

The woman, a member of the S4 KLG AMPIS (Chadli-Molintas Command), was apprehended for a non-bailable murder crime through an arrest warrant issued on October 14, 2019, by Hon. Sergio T Angnganay Jr., Presiding Judge, Branch 36 Regional Trial Court, Bontoc, Mt. Province.

 

The man, meantime, who is the Vice Commanding Officer of Front Operations Command (KLG AMPIS), was arrested for three crimes.

 

One of the charges filed against him is a murder case, with no bail recommended. He is also accused of 10 counts of frustrated murder with a bail bond amounting to P200,000 each and a direct assault crime committed against a person in authority, with a recommended bail of P40,000.


The two were brought to the Kalinga Police Provincial Office for documentation before they were turned over to their issuing courts.

 

The arrest of the 2 wanted communist members was made possible through the collaborative efforts of different units of PNP based in the province, along with Bauko and Sabangan Municipal Police Stations.
