2 drug personalities in Kalinga arrested; now in jail awaiting charges

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Two identified drug personalities in Kalinga have been put behind bars after authorities found contraband from their respective places on June 9 and 10, 2024.

On said dates, the operatives in Kalinga launched two separate drug operations in Tabuk City and Pinukpuk that led to the arrest of a 35-year-old newly identified street-level individual drug personality in Bulanao and a 40-year-old high-value drug personality in Catabbogan. 

The first operation transpired on Sunday, June 9, when an anti-narcotics team in Tabuk City proceeded to Purok 5, Bulanao to implement a search warrant addressed to the 35-year-old suspect whose name was withheld by the police.

The search resulted in the discovery of 14 pieces of small sachets containing some substance believed to be shabu with an estimated value of P40,000. Some drug paraphernalia were also confiscated by the police.

The following day, June 10, the operatives in Pinukpuk and Kalinga Police Provincial Office implemented another search warrant addressed to a 40-year-old man in Catabbogan. This resulted in the confiscation of an estimated 6-gram suspected shabu which is worth P40,800, drug paraphernalia, and live ammunition.  

Both the suspects are now under the custody of the police and will be charged for the suspected contraband found at their respective residences.
