2 found dead with gunshot wounds inside car in Gattaran

Cagayan, Philippines – Police authorities in Gattaran are now investigating possibilities surrounding the death of two individuals who were found with gunshot wounds in Sitio Padungsul in Basao, Gattaran.

The local police chief, PMaj. Gary Macadangdang told the Cagayan Provincial Information Office they were alerted past noon this Saturday, July 13, about a vehicle with two dead bodies.

Responding to the report, police authorities discovered that the lifeless bodies with gunshot wounds were a man and a woman. The man, through the driver’s license found inside the vehicle, was identified as Juanito Dela Cruz of Aparri.

The identity of the woman, on the other hand, is yet to be known.

Macadangdang said the suspects could be an acquaintance or someone close to the two victims as the car they were in was parked well at the side of the road which is far from the houses in Sitio Padungsul.

The motive behind the crime is currently being established by the police.
