2 men found in possession of Shabu in Tabuk City after police serve search warrant

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Drug charges have been filed by the police against two suspected drug personalities in Tabuk City following a search at a residence in Dagupan West on Wednesday.

A report from Tabuk City police said that anti-narcotic operatives implemented a search warrant in Sitio Hawaii around 8:50 a.m. on October 16, 2024.

The operation resulted in the arrest of two personalities – a 43-year-old carpenter from Dagupan West who is tagged as a High-Value Individual drug personality and a 32-year-old farmer from Tuao, Cagayan, who is said to be a Street Level Individual drug personality. Their identities were withheld by the police.

The two were handcuffed by the authorities after suspected contraband was found at the place of the 43-year-old suspect.

Among the pieces of evidence include 15 sachets containing a substance suspected to be shabu. The items have an estimated total weight of 12 grams and worth P81,600. Apart from this, the police confiscated a small plastic bag containing suspected marijuana oil.

Other non-drug pieces of evidence were likewise confiscated by the operatives such as aluminum foil, plastic sachets, and some containers.

Seized materials were inventoried with witnesses from the media, barangay, and the Department of Justice before the suspects, and the items were brought to Tabuk City Police Station for documentation and filing of charges.
