Isabela, Philippines – Two young men were just defending women at a beerhouse when three other men stabbed them on July 20 in Santiago City.

Victims Ryan Lundang Ebuan, 23, and Mark Roland Magsayo, 24, were attacked by suspects Angelo Tayabas, 22; Joseph Tayabas, 23; and John Mattarik, 21, early morning of said date, according to the Santiago police as cited by XFM Santiago.

Investigators stated that the squabble began when the suspects were about to pay their bill amounting to P9,000. One of the three allegedly started shouting, accusing some of the ladies of ‘mukhang pera’.

The two victims then spoke up to defend the women. This, however, irked the accused who went after them with a sharp object.

Ebuan and Magsayo sustained stab wounds and were rushed to the hospital.

The suspects who were brought to the custody of Santiago City Police Office Station 4 will be facing a Frustrated Homicide case.
