Tabuk City, Kalinga – Two riders were reportedly injured after their motorcycle crashed against a jeepney in Barangay New Tanglag around 11 o’clock today, April 16, 2022.

The Tabuk City Police Station reported that a black Euro motorcycle driven by a 17-year-old student from Baay, Pinukpuk with a back rider was traversing the road from Calanan towards New Tanglag when it collided against a jeep from the opposite lane.

According to a passenger of the jeep, they saw that the motorcycle overtook a van from a distance which is why the driver of the jeep stepped on the brakes. This could be substantiated by the skid marks found at the place of incident.

However, the witness asserted that the motorcycle was speeding fast and that the rider was not able to control it until it crashed against the jeep.

The rider with his back rider sustained multiple injuries and were later rushed by rescuers to the Kalinga Provincial Hospital. The driver and passengers of the jeep were unharmed.
