2 road accidents in Tabuk City in one day, 4 men injured

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Four men were injured in two different road accidents that happened along the Bulanao-Dagupan Provincial Road today, May 25.


According to the Traffic Management Unit of Tabuk City, the first incident happened at around 7:00 in the morning just in front of the San Juan Barangay Hall involving two motorcycles and two riders.


Based on their investigation, an XRM driven by a 36-year-old resident of Isla Basao with his 50-year-old backrider was following a tricycle going towards Bulanao direction.



While the tricycle was passing the point of accident, another motorcycle driven by a 49-year-old from Appas was preparing to cross from the side of the road in order to get to the opposite lane. Just as the tricycle passed, the motorcycle immediately crossed the road crashing onto the incoming XRM.


As a result, the riders of both motorcycles sustained abrasions on the elbow and knee while the backrider of the XRM had laceration on his head.


Afternoon accident near Magsaysay-Appas Boundary


Police report said later at around 1:30 in the afternoon, another road crash transpired in Appas involving a Nissan Sefiro driven by a 58-year-old resident of Dagupan West and an XRM motorcycle driven by a 37-year-old resident of Agbannawag.



The Nissan Sefiro was heading towards Dagupan while the XRM was going to the opposite direction. In an interview, a witness said the Nissan Sefiro was seen entering the lane of the motorcycle going towards the traffic heading to Dagupan when it hit the incoming XRM.


The rider of the motorcycle fell on the road and sustained fracture on his left foot and was rushed to the hospital. The driver of the Nissan Sefiro was fortunately unharmed.


Both the motorcycle and the car were badly damaged.
