2 soldiers from Tabuk City injured in Isabela road crash

Reina Mercedes, Isabela—Two members of the Philippine Army who are residents of Kalinga were injured after being involved in a road accident in the early hours of Saturday, February 15, 2025, in Reina Mercedes, Isabela.

 

The victims were identified by the Isabela Police as Corporal Sheward Nads Bacacao and Corporal Aldrin Banglayan. They are both residents of Tabuk City, Kalinga, and are currently stationed in the 5th Infantry Division in Gamu, Isabela.

 

According to the police reports obtained by local media near the area, the two were on board a car and were headed to Cauayan City when the accident transpired. Bacacao was the driver while Banglayan was his passenger. 

 

While they were traversing the road in Barangay Nappaccu Pequeño at around 3:00 of said day, Bacacao allegedly lost control of the car, which led the vehicle to crash into a concrete barrier.

 

Due to the force of impact, the front part of the vehicle was completely destroyed, while the victims sustained injuries to various parts of their bodies.

 

The injured soldiers were rushed to the hospital by the rescue team that responded to the incident. Fortunately, they survived the road crash and are now in a stable condition.
