Police Lieutenant Constancio Rosito, Officer in Charge of Lubuagan police, said that these two students were on board a Red Toyota Vios when they were flagged down at said checkpoint on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Rosito, the police, while conducting a checkpoint, received information about the transport of alleged marijuana and that the red vehicle matched the description of the tip they got.

This is why the police stopped the students’ vehicle.

Additionally, 2 pieces of small tubular forms containing the same alleged illegal substance, which is worth P10,800 were also confiscated.

For being in possession of said contraband, the two students who are both 21 years old were arrested and will be facing charges. The suspects are residents of Cataggaman, Nuevo, Tuguegarao City and Purok 5, Bulanao, Tabuk City.

Meantime, Rosito said that this is not the first time Pascual was arrested due to the same offense, “daytoy taga Tuguegarao, adda iti record nan a na-check point-an na met lang idi,” he said.

Rosito added that the confiscated illegal drugs were alleged to be sold in Tuguegarao.
