2 suicide victims in Baguio City sent death message

Baguio City, Philippines – Before taking their own lives, two students in Baguio City, allegedly sent suicide messages to their families, indicating their reasons.


In separate incidents, the victims were identified as a certain Patrick Angelo Gonzales Oreta, 25, from Nueva Ecija, and a certain Arjay Caluza Madayag, 31, a tattoo artist in the city.

Tuba Municipal Police Station, through Mt. Province Broadcasting Corporation – MPBC, reported that the mother of Gonzales received a letter from his child believed to be a suicide note.


On Saturday, May 28, 2022, Gonzales was found dead by a resident at Sitio Ubbog, Yagyagan, Tuba, Benguet. He sustained a gunshot wound.


Meanwhile, Madayag likewise sent a video to his former live-in partner regarding his intent to commit suicide.

On Sunday afternoon, Madayag was found on the stairs on the first floor of his boarding house lifeless.


While the authorities are conducting further investigation, they reminded the public to spend time with their families, especially those facing problems for them to know their situation.
