2 dead found in separate locations in Cagayan

Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – Two dead bodies were found in separate locations in Cagayan on Wednesday, September 14, according to Cagayan police.

A female corpse was discovered in Sta. Ana, while a male corpse in Peñablanca.

As told by Sta. Ana police, they were notified by the barangay officials of Barangay Patunungan about a female body seen lying in a nipa hut.

In the investigation made, police found out that the female victim was alleged to have been afflicted with mental problems. The identity and the cause of her death are still under investigation.

As to the male body, Peñablanca police said they were informed regarding it by a private source through a phone call.

His body was found in Barangay Baliuag in the afternoon of said date. Police only identified the victim as a certain ‘John’.

Accordingly, “John” is a helper and a resident of Barangay Parabba, Peñablanca.

Probe on the cause of his death is now being done by the Regional Forensic Unit of PNP Region 2.
