2 young women in Tabuk City caught in P.1M shabu buy-bust


Tabuk City, Kalinga – A hundred thousand worth of suspected shabu was recovered from a 21-year-old and a minor during a buy-bust operation on December 11, 2022 in Barangay Bulanao.


The suspects were identified by the police as Maila Tayaan, 21, and a resident of San Pascual, Rizal, Kalinga. She is a newly identified Street Level Individual drug personality. The other suspect is a 15-year-old who is also from Rizal, Kalinga.

Police Captain Ruff Manganip, Kalinga Police Provincial Office Information Officer relayed that the suspects agreed to transact with the undercover police operatives in Kalinga on Sunday evening in Purok 7, Bulanao.


Right then, the two allegedly sold a piece of sachet wrapped in paper and yellow packing tape. This is said to contain suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 15 grams and worth P102,000.


The police also recovered the P1,000 buy-bust and P51,000 boodle money from the suspects including their two Android phones and a unit of Honda XRM125.

The suspects will be subjected to inquest proceedings this December 12, 2022.


On December 10, another street-level drug personality fell into the hands of the police after selling suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Purok 6, Bulanao.
