21-year-old rider killed in Isabela collision

Isabela, Philippines – A rider died after a collision between a motorcycle and a pickup in Cauayan City on Monday morning, November 14, 2022.


The victim identified by the police as Manuel Tolentino, 21, a resident of Barangay San Fermin, Cauayan City, was said to be riding a Yamaha Mio motorcycle.


According to 98.5 i-FM Cauayan, the road crash happened when a pickup driven by a certain Shelly Faith Layugan, 25, was said to be on its way toward Canciller Avenue.

However, as the driver made a turn going in the said direction, the pickup allegedly crashed against the incoming motorcycle driven by Tolentino.


The victim was rushed to the hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician after sustaining serious injuries from the collision.


The driver of the pickup may face a case for Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Homicide and Damage to Properties.
