21-yr.-old student robbed and mauled in Baguio City

Baguio City, Philippines – Two individuals who mauled and robbed a student in Baguio City over the weekend are now being searched by the police.

The victim, a 21-year-old college student, was attacked by yet to be identified malefactors on the night of December 2.

According to the 21-year-old, he was walking home around 11:00 p.m. in Upper P. Burgos when two men suddenly emerged from the back of a parked car and cornered him.

He described that one of them pointed a knife at his waist while the other demanded his phone and wallet.

The victim fought back and managed to get out of their grasp and pushed them. He ran away but the perpetrators were able to catch up and knock him down by punching him multiple times.

While he was on the ground feeling dizzy, the suspects took his Android cellphone and P8,000 cash before running away and leaving him behind.

The 21-year-old suffered a soft tissue contusion and abrasion from the incident. The robbers, meantime, remain at large as of this writing.
