22-year-old student caught selling P1.2M marijuana bricks in Tabuk

Tabuk City, Kalinga – A 22-year-old college student was arrested by the police after selling P1.2 million worth of suspected marijuana on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022, in Sitio Pacak, Agbannawag.


The suspect, who is a resident of said place, was caught selling 10 bricks of suspected contrabands to undercover operatives during a buy-bust operation at the National Highway.

Upon discovery that they are actually transacting with authorities, the suspect and his cohorts fled, but the 22-year-old student was caught and tried to wrestle away from the operatives in his attempt to also escape.


The police confiscated the 10 bricks of suspected marijuana worth P1,200,000 and dried stalks of around 50 grams worth P6,000 were placed inside a box.

Additionally, 2 pieces of genuine P1,000 bills and 86 pieces of P1,000 boodle money used as buy-bust money, a piece of cellphone, and a motorcycle were also recovered during the operation.


The student is expected to be facing a case for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
