22-yr-old man in Santa Ana, Cagayan allegedly hangs self due to love problems

Santa Ana, Cagayan – Problems over love life allegedly was the reason behind the death of a man in Barangay Centro, Santa Ana, Cagayan.

The victim, identified as a 22-year-old resident of said barangay, decided to end his own life on Wednesday, October 2, by hanging following misunderstandings with his beloved.

"Jayson,” no his real name, according to the victim’s cousin, went to bed at around 9:00 p.m. that day.

At around 3 a.m. the next day, October 3, the cousin was awakened by an alarm coming from Jayson’s room. When he entered the room, he discovered Jayson’s body hanging inside.

He immediately notified their neighbors to help him and rushed Jayson to a hospital. Jayson was brought to a hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

A follow-up report from Santa Ana PNP revealed that before the said incident, Jayson and her live-in partner had a heated argument. The police concluded that love life problems might have led him to commit suicide.

As of this writing, further investigations are underway to determine the real cause of the suicide.
