23-yr.-old student killed in Isabela road accident

Echague, Isabela – A 23-year-old student died after his motorcycle crashed straight into a Sport Utility Vehicle while he was traversing the road in San Fabian, Echague, Isabela on Wednesday, June 19.

Police identified the casualty as Mark Anthony Bermudez, a resident of Barangay Gumbauan, Echague.

In the investigation conducted, Bermudez was reportedly over speeding and was under the influence of alcohol when he met the tragic accident.

Police report related that he was not able to manage the speed of his motorcycle and ended on the other lane. Thus, he struck the oncoming SUV driven by Larry Binuya, 48.

Due to the force of the impact, the victim sustained severe injuries resulting in his untimely passing.

Meanwhile, Binuya, together with the vehicles involved in the accident, is now under the custody of Echague Police Station.

If the matter will not be settled amicably, he will be charged with reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and damage to property.
