24 micro entrepreneurs in Pinukpuk, Kalinga receive DTI business kits

Pinukpuk, Kalinga – Aimed at helping micro entrepreneurs to pursue having and improving their businesses, the Department of Trade and Industry- Kalinga distributed livelihood kits to 24 individuals in Pinukpuk on Thursday, September 29.


Through the support to micro businesses, it is hoped that the local economy of the community will get better.


The beneficiaries, as reported by the Negosyo Center of Pinukpuk, were from the eight barangays of said municipality. Each recipient was given P8,000 worth of livelihood kits.

The starter kits were grocery items, utensils and equipment amounting to a total of P192,000.


The livelihood kits were immediately awarded after the signing of pledge and acknowledgment receipt.


During the awarding, Marner Dasayon, Municipal Administrator, expressed her gratitude to the department as through their programs and assistance, it changed the lives of the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Pinukpuk.


Renie Ramos, Director of DTI-Kalinga, reminded the beneficiaries that the livelihood distributed to them should be utilized to expand their businesses and to increase their income.


Relaida Bali, owner of Laida's Food Products, one of the successful beneficiaries of the program encouraged the entrepreneurs to be persistent and focused on improving their businesses. She emphasized the importance of participating in trainings provided by the department to gain more knowledge and skills that help them run their businesses more effectively.

Livelihood Seeding Program – Negosyo Serbisyo Sa Barangay (LSP-NSB) of DTI is allows for a wider reach of business development assistance by bringing government services closer to the people through partnerships between relevant local government units and the department’s officials.

The program’s priority assistance intends the recovery of micro enterprises affected by natural and human-induced calamities including health disasters arising from an epidemic or pandemic.
