25 MSMEs in Tinglayan given FREE Basic Bookkeeping training

Tinglayan, Kalinga – Local businesspersons in the municipality of Tinglayan now has added knowledge in handling their financial transactions as they were trained on basic Bookkeeping on Tuesday, June 11.


The training was spearheaded by the Department of Trade and Industry and the Negosyo Center of Tinglayan.


The training targets to educate MSMEs in the municipality on basic bookkeeping skills that would help them manage their financial records.


It was attended by 25 individuals, Larae Lactao of the Municipal Information Office of Tinglayan relayed.


Topics discussed included the over-all cycle and accounting and bookkeeping terms. As to the workshops, the participants were taught on the analysis of transaction, general journal and general ledger – some of the practical skills in managing their business.


Serving as their speakers were Melanie Agod, the owner of Uwaniko Food products and an accountant.


The local government of Tinglayan led by Mayor Sacrament Gumilab expressed gratitude to the agency for the training dedicated for the MSMEs which is of importance in managing their small businesses.


The participants, meantime, were urged to apply what they have learned in the training as these newfound knowledge and skills is seen to steer their business towards prosperity and likewise help in boosting the locality’s economy.
