25-year-old woman in Cagayan killed by live-in partner after heated argument


Allacapan, Cagayan – A man in his thirties is now the subject of a hot pursuit operation after stabbing his live-in partner to death in Allacapan evening of Monday, November 14.


The suspect was identified by police as Nelson Villacillo, a resident of Pateng, Gonzaga.


Police report revealed the suspect engaged in a heated argument with the victim - Carissa Almazan, 25, inside their house in Barangay Binubongan 11:30 p.m. of said date.

When the argument worsened, Villacillo allegedly stabbed the victim multiple times on the different parts of her body.


Even with the unfortunate circumstance, the victim managed to come out of the house and asked help from her parents. It was said that the victim was also able to shout that her partner was the one who stabbed her.


She was immediately brought to the Rural Health Unit of Allacapan but was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician.


Based on post-mortem examination, Almazan sustained 5 stab wounds with a 6-inch knife.

The suspect, meantime, fled the scene after the stabbing incident.


In a report, Bombo Radyo Tuguegarao said the two had been living together for three years in Gonzaga, but due to constant beating by the suspect, the woman returned to Allacapan town.


At present, authorities are still establishing the motive of the crime while the suspect now faces murder charges.
