Dead man found hanging in waiting shed in Tuba claimed by relatives

Tuba, Benguet - A day after his body was found hanging from a waiting shed in Badiwan, Poblacion, Tuba, the remains of a 26-year-old man were claimed by his relatives on Saturday, January 20.

The victim was positively identified by his relatives as Lorenzo Miguel Mesina Tinio, single, and a native of Sitio Urqico, Matatalaib, Tarlac.

Police, based on an investigation, stated that the man died by suicide.

To recall, the man was discovered by a resident in the vicinity who was about to leave for work around 6 a.m. on Friday, January 19.

Along with the body, police recovered a cutter, scissors, bag, rope, and some biscuits from the scene of the incident.

The victim was later brought to the Cosmopolitan Funeral Homes in Baguio City for post-mortem care, where the claimants subsequently obtained his deceased body.

While the victim's remains have already been transported to Tarlac, coordination between Tuba police and Tarlac police continues for developments in the supposed suicide case.
