27-yr.-old woman dies in motorcycle, pick-up collision in Isabela

Benito Soliven, Isabela - The public has always been reminded by authorities to slow down their vehicles when traversing a curving section of a road to avoid accidents.

However, in an unexpected turn of events, an accident occurred in Benito Isabela after this warning went unheeded, claiming the life of a 27-year-old wife and leaving her husband severely injured.

Police identified the casualty as Jemaima Reglos, while the injured individual was Marvin Reglos. They are both residents of Quezon, Isabela.

According to a local media report, the married couple was riding a Sniper 155 motorcycle on Monday, January 15, when the incident happened. Marvin was the one driving the motorcycle, and Jemaima was his back rider.

Police reported that when the two were traversing along the national highway in Barangay Santa Cruz, Marvin allegedly lost control of the vehicle when they reached the curved part of the road.

It was then that their motorcycle hit the oncoming Toyota Hilux pickup, driven by Remigio Galasinao, 56, a resident of Barangay San Carlos, Benito Soliven.

The victims sustained severe injuries due to the incident, and they were rushed to a hospital by the responding authorities.

While Marvin survived the incident, Jemaima was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Meanwhile, Galasinao, the pickup driver, is now in police custody for documentation and proper disposition.
