28-year-old man kidnapped in Isabela, found dead with 48 stab wounds

Cauayan City, Isabela- A man abducted on July 9, was found dead with many stab wounds and cuts on his neck in barangay Cabaruan, Cauayan City, Isabela on Sunday, July 10, 2022.

The victim was identified as Marco Salgado, 28, a resident of Brgy. District 1, Cauayan City.

It was reported that he was abducted by armed men past 12:00 in the afternoon of July 9, 2022 in Villarta St. Barangay District 1, Cauayan City.

The victim was on his way home when the incident happened.

It was said he was driving his car and was with his 2-year-old son when a Black Innova suddenly stopped and aimed a gun at him.

The goons then forced him to enter into their vehicle.

In an interview by 98.5 iFM Cauayan with Mark Salgado, the victim's brother, he said that the authorities only called them this morning that Marco's body was found in Barangay Cabaruan.

Based on the information shared by the funeral home, there were 48 stab wounds to various parts of his body and a large cut on his neck.

Mark Salgado narrated that his brother was kind and did not have any enemies or quarrels that could possibly resulted into his abduction and him being killed in such gruesome way.

Salgado added his brother left two children – the 2-year-old who was his companion on the day of his abduction and a 10-month-old baby.

Meantime, the victim's family is now crying justice for the cruel death of Salgado and pleaded for witnesses of the accident to help them identify who the killers were.
