28-yr-old woman in Baguio City shot by live-in partner during argument

Baguio City, Philippines - A 28-year-old woman in Baguio City is now in critical condition after her live-in partner shot her during a heated argument.

The victim, whose name was not disclosed by the police, is a student and resident of Bakakeng Drive, Bakakeng, Baguio City.

According to the report from the Baguio City Police Office, the victim had an altercation with her partner identified as Charles Valiente, 33, on July 6, 2024.

Their argument led Valiente to shoot the victim’s neck with a still unidentified gun caliber. Valiente, however, managed to rush the victim to a hospital in the city.

When investigators arrived, Valiente left the victim at the said medical facility and escaped.

At present, the victim is under strict monitoring at the hospital.

Valiente is now being pursued by authorities. A frustrated homicide case is being readied against him.
