29-year-old drug personality in Kalinga caught in buy-bust operation

Tabuk City, Kalinga – A street-level drug personality in Kalinga was arrested by the police after selling suspected contraband to an undercover police on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at the Balbin Subdivision in Barangay Magsaysay, Tabuk City.

The arrested individual was identified by the police as a certain Christian Gragasin, 29, a construction worker, and a resident of Dagupan Weste.

Gragasin was nabbed after transacting with an undercover operative on the evening of December 1, wherein he allegedly sold a piece of a transparent sachet containing a substance suspected to be shabu. The said drug item was estimated to be 0.20 grams and worth P1,360.

When the suspect was searched, the police also said to have recovered five more small sachets with the same substance. These sachets have an estimated total weight of 0.70 grams and were said to be worth P4,760.

Other items confiscated from the suspect include the buy-bust money and a cellular phone.

Items recovered from the suspect were inventoried in his presence and were witnessed by representatives from the media, the Department of Justice, and the barangay.

Earlier, a resident of Agbannawag, Tabuk City was also arrested by the operatives for ferrying suspected dried marijuana worth P5,760,000.
