29-year-old man shot to death in Baguio; suspect remains at large

Baguio City, Philippines  - A 29-year-old man in Baguio City died over the weekend after he was shot multiple times by an unidentified individual.

 

The victim, whose identity was withheld by the police, was said to be on board a car before the shooting incident happened.

 

According to an initial report from the police obtained by DZWT 540 AM - Radyo Totoo, while the victim was traversing the road in Barangay Ferdinand, Baguio City, his car overheated.

 

With that, he parked the car on the well-lit part of the road to check on it. As soon as he came out of the car, a man approached him and suddenly fired multiple shots on him.

 

After shooting the victim, the gunman immediately fled from the crime using a 4-wheel vehicle.

 

The victim, meanwhile, was left bathing in his own blood. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds to various parts of his body and died while being rushed to the hospital by the responding medical team.

 

As of this writing, the suspect is still being pursued by the police.

 

The public is urged to report to the authorities any information that can lead to the arrest of the suspect.
