3 killed in shooting incident in Lasam, Cagayan

Lasam, Cagayan - Three individuals were killed in a shooting incident that transpired evening of Monday, July 29, in Barangay Centro 2, Lasam, Cagayan.

The victims were identified as Rex Udarbe, 49, Dennis Purificacion, 56, and Domingo Rigayan, 35. The gunman, meanwhile, was identified as Oliver Pagaduan, 29.

Police reported that the said individuals were having a drinking spree at a store in said barangay when the shooting occurred.

Accordingly, Udarbe and Purificacion were at one table while Rigayan and Pagaduan were at another table.

While they were drinking, Pagaduan suddenly challenged Udarbe and Purificacion to a fight outside the store for unknown reasons.

After Pagaduan came out of the store, Udarbe and Purificacion followed until a fight broke out between them.

During their fight, Pagaduan took out a pistol he had hidden in his sling bag and shot the two multiple times. He also shot his companion, Rigayan, who tried to stop him from shooting the two.

At present, police are currently conducting a hot pursuit operation for the arrest of Pagaduan who fled from the crime scene.
