3 men in Tabuk City caught having pot session by police

Tabuk City, Kalinga – If it weren’t for two individuals who aroused the suspicion of the police conducting surveillance, three men who were reported having pot session would have gotten away with using illegal substance on Tuesday in Laya West.

In response to complaints on carnap incidents, the Tabuk City Police Station deployed its personnel for monitoring and surveillance around the city on December 17. At that time, the police were said to have discovered two dismantled motorcycles in a grassy area in Laya West.

According to the Tabuk City police, as they were about to inquire in the area about the motorcycles, they saw two men who were startled with their presence and scampered away upon seeing them. This led the police to pursue them until they reached a house where the two entered.

The cops followed the two men inside the residence, but to their surprise, they chanced upon three men who were in the act of using illegal drugs.

These three whose names were withheld by the police include a 52-year-old farmer; 41-year-old tricycle driver; and 34-year-old farmer.

Seized materials from the operation include 9 sachets of suspected shabu, estimated to be worth P28,560, foils and lighters, and two motorcycles.

After the onsite inventory of these confiscated items, the arrested suspects including the suspected illegal drugs and other evidence seized were brought to the Tabuk City Police Station.
