3 vehicle-road crash on Naguilian Road, Baguio City injures 4


Baguio City, Philippines – A crash involving three vehicles on Naguilian Road, Baguio City on Sunday, October 16, left four individuals injured, reported the Mt. Province Broadcasting Corporation – MPBC.


The victims were identified as Christian Rodriguez, Dominador Surat, Escoda Bulakit Suyam, and Albert Podak.


Investigation of Station 1 of the Baguio City Police Office revealed that Digna Lopez, 49, was driving a compact SUV going to the town proper when she stepped on the accelerator, instead of the brake.

This sped up the vehicle, hitting the taxi driven by a certain Christian Rodriguez, 25. In return, Rodriguez bumped into another taxi driven by Dominador Surat, 63 which then hit a concrete post.


The victims were rushed to the nearby hospital for immediate medication. They were already discharged, as of writing.


A case for Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Damage to Properties and Physical Injuries may be filed against Lopez.

Meanwhile, seven other road incidents that resulted in damage to property in the city were reported on the same day.


These incidents happened at Governor Pack Road, Cariño Street, UP Drive, Loakan Road, Purok 18 Irisan, Kisad Road, and another in Naguilian Road.


Motorists are warned to take extra precautions when driving to avoid such untoward incidents.
