3-year-old girl dies in tragic motorcycle accident in Benguet

Kibungan, Benguet – Investigation continues on the case of a three-year-old child who died after she was hit by a black Rouser Kawasaki motorcycle in Poblacion, Kibungan, Benguet.

The crash happened on Tuesday, July 4, along the road of Sitio Alimit, police said, adding the victim was a resident of Barangay San Juan, Taytay Rizal.

In the investigation, it was said that the rider was heading to Sitio Tabbac, Palina, Kibungan when the accident happened.

While traversing the highway along Sitio Alimit, the little girl was said to have suddenly crossed the street, resulting in the tragedy.

The motorcycle hit the girl and was thrown 14 meters from the scene of contact. The girl was immediately brought to the Kibungan Rural Health Unit but was declared dead on arrival.

The motorcycle rider is now under police custody and his identity is withheld. The police said he is an 18-year-old farm worker.
