32-yr.-old garbage collector dies after falling off garbage truck

Tuguegarao, Cagayan - A 32-year-old garbage collector died after accidentally falling off a garbage truck on Monday, Nov. 07, 2023, in Ugac Norte, Tuguegarao City.

The police said the victim, along with his companion, was sitting on top of the garbage they collected and put on the truck when the incident happened.

They were then heading to the dumping site in Carig Norte.

While the vehicle was running, particularly in Pengue Ruyu, his companion narrated that he suddenly stood up and was then getting something from his pocket, even though he had earlier been warned not to do it.

It was then that the victim, identified as Rex, a resident of Ugac Norte, fell off the vehicle, which resulted in his untimely death.

He was ferried by a tricycle driver to the Cagayan Valley Medical Center but died while being treated.
