30-yr.-old ambulance driver dies in Isabela car crash


Alicia, Isabela – A 30-year-old man died following a collision involving the ambulance he was driving and an elf truck along Barangay Salvation, Alicia, Isabela at around 8 a.m., January 13.

The fatality was identified by PNP - Cauayan as Jurezz Mark Aristan Perpetua, 30, a resident of Barangay Bagong Silang, Caloocan City.


The white elf truck carrying 120 sacks of feeds and the ambulance owned by the Department of Health (DOH) Central Office were traversing the road in the said village heading to San Mateo town when the collision happened, an initial investigation revealed.


A witness said the victim was speeding causing the ambulance to crash into the elf truck he was following.


With the strong impact, the ambulance’s front part was severely damaged.

The elf truck driven by Jose Cabauatan Jr. from Barangay Babaran, Echague plunged into the paddies near the road.


The victim, meantime, sustained serious injuries. He was immediately brought to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.


Perpetua’s body is at the Carbonel Funeral Homes in said town.
