33-yr.-old helper in Isabela kills brother after argument

Echague, Isabela – Argument between siblings is common, often over small matters.

Such squabbles don’t turn deadly, but it did for a 44-year-old construction worker in Arabiat, Echague, Isabela.

The victim, Roland Austria, was having a drinking session with his 33-year-old brother Cesar Austria, a helper in the said village when they got into a heated argument, Echague Police Station reported.

The older Austria hit his brother with a steel pipe but the younger escaped.

The suspect returned with a kitchen knife and stabbed the victim in his chest and shoulder, causing the latter’s immediate death.

Further investigation is ongoing.
