33-yr.-old man shot dead in Ramon, Isabela

Isabela, Philippines – Authorities in Ramon, Isabela are now looking for the gunmen who killed a 33-year-old man in broad daylight at the boundary of Bugallon Norte and Nagbacalan on January 31.

Police identified the victim as Rodel Sortido of Alicia, Isabela.

Initial investigation shows that Sortido was on his way home around 10:00 in the morning on Tuesday. While he was traversing the road on his bicycle, a red Toyota Hilux Pick-up suddenly appeared and fired at him.

The gunmen immediately drove off towards Alicia town after the crime.

The victim, on the other hand, was left on the road with blood oozing from his head and other parts of his body. His severe wounds caused his instant death.

Further investigation on the case in ongoing to establish the motive and the identity of the people behind the crime.
