35-yr.-old farmer arrested after sister caught him snorting shabu

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Just six days into the new year, the Tabuk City police brought in a new person to their custody after the latter was caught using illegal drugs. 

 

On Monday night, January 6, the police responded to a call at Junction, Nambaran after the barangay officials had to hold a man suspected of snorting shabu.

 

According to the investigation of the police, a woman sought the assistance of the barangay officials after she allegedly saw her brother who was described by the Tabuk City police as a 35-year-old farmer snorting ‘shabu’ at their mother’s house.

 

Knowing the dangers of the act, the woman immediately called the barangay officials in Nambaran who promptly responded to the incident.

 

Seized from the suspect included a small sachet containing some substance believed to be shabu. The contraband was estimated to be at least 0.1 gram and worth P680.

 

Other items recovered were shabu paraphernalia such as lighter, improvised tooter, and aluminum foil.

 

The confiscated materials were inventoried in the presence of witnesses from the DOJ, media, and the barangay. The suspect was brought to the Tabuk City Police Station after the inventory of the pieces of evidence.
