36-yr.-old former security guard accused of killing mother over P100,000 cash in Naguilian, Isabela

Isabela, Philippines – Authorities are now searching for the 36-year-old man accused of killing his own mother in Purok 1, Palattao, Naguilian, Isabela.

According to the victim’s sibling who used to accompany her in the house, the incident happened on Friday night but was only reported to police on Saturday.

Upon arriving inside her room, Naguilian Police Station saw the 63-year-old Lucylyn Ocampo lying dead. Noticing the bruises on her neck, the police said she may have died due to suffocation using a pillow.

The suspect identified as Alphie Ocampo is a former security guard in Laguna. He left home 13 years ago for his work in Manila.

It was only 2 weeks since his return when the tragedy occurred.

The P100,000 cash saved by the victim for the supposed repair of their house was also reported missing.

Further investigation is underway while the police are looking for Alphie who fled after the crime.
