Claveria, Cagayan - Working hard is necessary to satisfy our daily needs; however, we also have to consider our health or end up dying.

For a farmer in Claveria, Cagayan, his life was cut short after not minding about his health and still headed to his farm even when he was not feeling well.

The deceased was identified as Romeo Simon Jr, a resident of Barangay Capanikian, Claveria.

According to police reports, Simon had signs of hypertension attack before he went to his farm at around 5 am on Monday, June 10 to prepare his plantation.

His family, knowing his condition, tried to stop him, but Simon still persisted to go. They followed Simon later at the farm.

Upon arriving at the farm around 8 a.m. the same day, it was then that they saw him lying in the rice field. They rushed him to a hospital nearby, but he was pronounced dead by the attending physician.

Since the victim’s family believed that Simon died of hypertension attack, the police concluded no foul play happened in the incident.
