38-yr-old man in Baguio hit by pick-up truck and run over by jeep

Baguio City, Philippines – Just a few meters before he could reach his house, a 38-year-old man in Baguio City met his unfortunate demise after he hit by a pickup truck and subsequently ran over by a jeep.

Police reports obtained by the DZWT 540 AM - Radyo Totoo disclosed that the victim, Edelberto Bagabapdo Selim Jr., was on board a motorcycle when the tragic accident happened on the evening of Thursday, January 9, 2025.

The tragedy transpired when he was about to enter the driveway of his house. A pickup suddenly bumped his vehicle. The pickup was driven by William Wakangan Sapdoy from Sabangan, Mountain Province.

Due to the impact, Selim was thrown off from his motorcycle and when he landed on the road, he was run over by the oncoming modernized jeep.

The driver of the jeep was identified as Ariel Talledo Fuentes, a resident of Spring Hills,

Loakan Road, Baguio City. 

Selim sustained severe injuries to various parts of his body due to the incident. He was rushed to a hospital nearby by the responding rescue team, but he was not able to survive.

At present, the authorities are conducting further investigations into the incident.
