39 residents in Flora receive training on Coconut Fruit Processing

 

Flora, Apayao- 39 members of the Anninipan Planters Association in Flora went through a three-day skills training on Coconut Fruit Processing, where they were provided strategic marketing ideas to advance the association's operation and boost their association’s income generation.


Said participants were trained on basic concepts of packaging and labeling, food safety, and product costing, techniques on producing coconut-based delicacies and products such as vinegar, and others from raw materials.


Former CSU Professor Janette Bagasol served as the trainer from October 8-10.


Mayor Rodolfo B. Juan, in his message, encouraged the members to immediately apply the new learned skills and information, giving them additional P5,000 capital. Juan said they are blessed for being one of the beneficiaries of the livelihood program of DOLE with the essential tools and equipment already provided.


"Nagasat kayu ta adda ti DOLE, Ken TESDA nga partner iti LGU nga mangipaay iti pagrang-ayan ti association yu, itultuloy yu ken i-aplikar yu nga sigud dagiti naadal yu tapno mas dumakkel pay daytoy nga pagbiagan yu," Mayor Juan stated.


Anninipan Planters Association President, in behalf of the group, conveyed her assurance and commitment to apply the new knowledge acquired during said training, challenging the members to convert their knowledge and skills into monetary equivalent, helping their own households secure economic stability.


Moreover, through the training more income opportunities await for the member-beneficiaries.


The Association's Livelihood program was funded by the DOLE-CAR, implemented through the assistance of DOLE-Apayao field office, LGU-Flora PESO, and TESDA-Apayao.
