4 dead, 2 injured in Gattaran road crash

Gattaran, Cagayan – Four individuals were killed in a road crash that transpired earlier today, May 24 in Barangay Lapogan, Gattaran, Cagayan.

The road crash involving a canter double cab and an elf truck occurred after the truck encroached the lane of the cab.

Police said the cab where the casualties were onboard was headed to Tuguegarao at that time. The elf truck, meantime, was bound to Aparri.

Upon reaching the place of the incident, the elf truck suddenly entered the lane of the cab resulting in a head-on collision.

Police disclosed the driver might have fallen asleep while driving as he came from a long journey in Metro Manila.

The identities of the victims are yet to be known as an investigation is still underway.

There is also a need for their families to be informed first regarding the fate of their loved ones before the release of the victims’ identities.

The injured ones, meantime, are now recuperating at a medical facility.
