Lamut, Ifugao - To further boost their agricultural productivity, some farmer groups in Ifugao were recently provided with over P600,000 worth of agricultural equipment/machinery by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).

In a Facebook post, the DAR—Ifugao said the project is part of its Climate Resilience Farm Productivity Support (CRFPS) program.

The program aims to help the farmers do their farm activities easier, as well as allow them to increase their earnings by providing them with various modern farm equipment and other forms of agricultural support they may need.

From February to March this year, there are a total of four farmer groups in said province who benefited from the program, receiving water pumps, mini hand tractors, and other farm supplies from the agency valued at P680,000.00.

The recent recipients were Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs), or those farmer organizations in the province that are operating on a larger scale.

These include the Calupaan Agrarian Reform Farmers Incorporated in Alfonso Lista, the Talboc Agrarian Reform Farmers Organization in Mayoyao, and the Umilag-Panopdopan Agrarian Reform Farmers Inc. and the Sanafe Farmers & Fisherfolks Association Inc. in Lamut.

Officials from DAR, during the turn-over of the aid, reminded the beneficiaries to take good care of the given equipment for their long-term usage. Other ARBOs from the other towns of Ifugao, according to the department, will likewise benefit from the said program in the coming days.
